How likely is it that a P.O would REQUIRE that you stay at a Salvation Army shelter instead of in Camper?

Posted in Questions and Answers

if you are on probation for a simple misdemeanor in US,, and have been sleeping in vehicle in legal area , such as parking lot or camp site..can you just give them this address?

how likely (percentage chance) is it that they would REQUIRE you go to a shelter if you are "homeless" and currently jobless?

please explain reasons.

btw, which states would be more like this than others?

why and how so?

I live and work in Ohio. When a person is offered probation over jail time, a genuine address is needed. If a person tried using an address of a mobile park or trailer, the risk of flight would be considered too great to allow a Judge to accept it as valid.

Given the above, as a condition of probation, I would expect the Judge to order the person to reside at a shelter with a daily curfew time as a proviso. This would satisfy the court for an address and locks the person in so they can be checked on.

I hope this helps and you can find it useful
